Wanted Vinitaly International Academy Seeks

Posted in Italian Food by Byron on July 27, 2014

Verona, Italy July 25, 2014

330 DOCs, 73 DOCGs and over 541 native grape varieties (Source: D?Agata I. Native Wine Grapes of Italy, University of California Press, Berkeley, 2014) require a lot of explaining and Vinitaly International has taken on the mission to simplify complexity through a new educational project, the Vinitaly International Academy. VIA was first launched back in February by Stevie Kim (Managing Director of Vinitaly International) and Doctor Ian D?Agata (Scientific Director of Vinitaly International Academy). The aim of the project is to explain, divulge, and broadcast the characteristics of Italy?s myriad grape varieties and the high quality of its many wines.

Now, after five successful stopovers of the Academy around the globe (NY, Chengdu, Shanghai, Dalian, Verona, with further stops in 2014 planned for Moscow, Hong Kong, and Melbourne), the two masterminds of the world of Italian wines are back with a new announcement: Vinitaly International Academy is on the look out for 50 wine professionals to send out into the world as the new Ambassadors of Italian Wine. (http://youtu.be/VkQ4evxy-6U).

For this ambitious project Vinitaly International Academy is now ready to offer standardized officially recognized six hour courses and two certification levels that will greatly enable all those who love Italian wine to speak of it in a unified, organized manner with true in depth knowledge of each specific Italian grape variety, wine and production zone. The ultimate aim is to create approved VIA certified wine specialists who can support Doctor Ian D?Agata in teaching the courses around the world and broadcasting the excellence of Italian wines to help producers increase sales in top international markets.

?We have now outlined a 3 year program to target aggressively the potentially most important Italian wine markets. Some include, but not limited to, China, Russia, Hong Kong, the US, Brasil, Korea, Germany, Austria and Swizerland? explains Stevie Kim. ?I have personally been scouting the past 3 years for candidates to be enrolled in our intensive program. We will however be also accepting requests from a greater sample.?

Here is how it works: the Vinitaly International Academy will offer easy to follow, intensive four day wine courses of six hours made up of classroom lectures and wine tastings (roughly 24 hours of lectures and 12 of wine tasting in total) devoted to Italian native grapes, specific Italian terroirs, wines made from international varieties, trends and updates on Italian wine, and Italian wine history. Each course will be then followed by an exam with a written and oral section that will allow candidates to achieve two levels of certification: Italian Wine Ambassador and, VIA?s highest level, Italian Wine Expert.

In order to better prepare for the VIA courses and exam, certificate candidates are strongly encouraged to taste Italian wines on their own and follow the Executive Wine Seminars (EWS) organized by VIA throughout the year all over the world. These are divided into three categories: introductory, advanced and focused and all provide certificate hopefuls with a chance to taste and learn about wines and grape varieties that may not be as prevalent in home countries of certificate attendees.

Who can follow the courses? VIA certifications are especially indicated for all those who have a good working level of wine knowledge (WSET graduates, for example) and who wish to greatly strengthen their awareness about Italian wines. The course is ideal for professional sommeliers, restaurant and hotel employees, educators, wine writers and winery personnel.

No other course on Italian wines offers a similar level of knowledge and credibility and VIA certification graduates will also be at an advantage in their work place.

In the words of Ian D?Agata: ?Over the years, it became apparent to all those involved in Italian wine ?sommeliers, wine shop, restaurant owners, state monopoly experts and wine journalists- that the overall level of knowledge on Italian wine was non-specialized, mainly as a consequence of not much quality written information being available. Our goal at VIA is to offer specific training in Italian wines that in no way duplicates or wishes to rival existing, outstanding wine courses or certifications such as WSET and MW. Rather, we hope the VIA certification will enable people already well versed in wine to become even more knowledgeable on Italian wines. We strongly encourage VIA certification candidates to obtain their WSET diploma first?.

Whats Cooking On Terre

Posted in French Bread by Byron on July 27, 2014

Carlstadt, NJ July 08, 2014

With the transition to summer and the season of amazing abundance, Terre ? Terre, Carlstadt?s vibrant farm-to-table eatery and artisan market, is changing its menu for summer and featuring a number of new dishes that blend summer?s bounty with local artisan cheeses, grains and beans. This season?s menu includes all types of goat, sheep and cow?s milk cheeses, including feta, fromage blanc, cheddar, mozzarella, and chevre. The new menu goes into effect on Wednesday, July 16.

?When we started to design our summer menu, we really wanted to pair delicious local produce with the wonderful flavors of artisanal cheeses. We set out to feature a different artisan cheese producer for each dish and we ended up with a wonderful group of award-winning cheeses,? said Chef Owner Todd Villani. ?We really think the thoughtful pairing of ingredients; all local and many organic – is what our guests have come to expect from us.?

Summer Menu

With a menu completely designed around the seasons, Villani finds new ways of serving summer favorites such as Jersey tomatoes, a veritable summertime staple, served with corn, chickpeas and summer squash fritters and topped with cucumber yogurt as an appetizer or basil pasta from Brooklyn-based Sfoglini Pasta served with house-made meatballs, garbanzo beans, chard and melted mozzarella. Creative preparations of fish include North Atlantic Mahi Mahi served with wok vegetables, spiced jasmine rice, and General Tso?s spicy sauce, which is a highlight on the new menu.

Impressive meat executions like Nicolosi Black Berkshire pork tenderloin with toasted barley, grated lavender cabbage, and maple bacon marmalade are also served. The crispy artichokes are still a menu favorite, but with the change in season, will now be served with Nicolosi?s chorizo, Flint Hill Farm chevre, and smoked jalape?o aioli.

The new menu wouldn?t be complete without new salad selections celebrating summer greens. The Terre ? Terre signature salad is prepared with beets, mixed greens, and smoked paprika toasted almonds topped with peppercorn fromage blanc cheese.

Desserts are prepared on the premises with accents on house-made classics like Cr?me Brulee and bread pudding. In keeping with its commitment to serve ?local,? the restaurant also attains its bread from a local artisan bakery. The summer menu can be viewed on the website at http://terreaterre.biz/dinner-menu/.

Producers

Terre ? Terre will continue to work with its existing farm partners while featuring new artisan products and meat and produce from the following farms:????

Cayuga Pure Organics is an Upstate-NY-based producer of heirloom beans, grains and flour.
Goffle Road Poultry Farm is a Bergen-County based family owned poultry farm that has been operated by the Silvestri family for three generations. Goffle Road raises free-range, hormone-free poultry. The summer menu will feature a Duck Duo dish served with roasted breast and leg and thigh confit.
Bobolink Dairy and Bakeyard: Cheesemakers and bakers Jonathan and Nina White are making 100% grass-fed raw milk cheeses. The Whites are staunch supporters of sustainable, grass-based agriculture. Their cows are milked based on their natural lactation cycle and aren?t fed animal by-products or hormones like many conventional dairies. Their cave-ripened cheddar is featured on this season?s menu.
Flint Hill Farm is a 28-acre preserved farm in Lehigh County, PA. A not-for-profit ?teaching farm,? Flint Hill produces wonderful goat and cow milk artisan cheeses, yogurt and fresh cream butter.
Yellow Springs Farm is a Native Plant Nursery and Artisanal Goat Cheese Dairy located in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. The farm and nursery consists of an historic farmhouse, dairy barn, a springhouse with pond on 8 acres of land. Originally a dairy farm 150 years ago, Yellow Springs? cheeses are made using age-old processes borrowed from both French and Italian traditions with their own original interpretation using farm-raised herbs, nuts and honey.

SS Atlantica Summer Voyage

Event on 2014-07-26 20:00:00

Return to the golden age of luxury travel at SS: Atlantica Summer Voyage, setting sail from the Savoy Pier on Saturday 26th July 2014. Glide down the Thames with the summer breeze in your fur stole, the sound of water under your immaculately shod pins, and the setting sun sparkling in your Martini glass. Leave your modern cares ashore and join us in this Champagne-sodden voyage into the glamour of yesteryear.

The evening’s entertainment follows an authentic ship itinerary from the 1930s, and guests will be entertained by activities and diversions typical to those enjoyed by the P.O.S.H* folks crossing the Atlantic in those glory days. Music will be provided by London’s finest live bands and singers, all performing in the style of the era.

Once on board, guests are transported back in time to an age of sailing splendour and maritime grandiose, when voyagers always dressed for dinner, no matter how choppy it got. Curving balustrades and portholes encircle a dance floor lined by tables dressed with immaculate white tablecloths. Engage in Starboard rendez-vous with suave gent, lounge Portside while quaffing exquisite cocktails or let loose on the dance-floor as Big Ben strikes at midnight.

Dress code is ‘At-Sea Formalwear’ and join us up on deck! Gentlemen should emulate the starched collar and immaculate dinner suit of an Agatha Christie villain and ladies can take their inspiration from the silk and fur ensembles worn by stars of the silver screen. Think bias cut backless dresses and art deco jewels.

Solid Parenting Advice Tips And

Posted in Speghetti by Byron on July 26, 2014

Parenting can be the most rewarding task you will ever undertake. It does not come without its set of challenges though, and those challenges can sometimes lead to stress, exhaustion, and even anger. So how do you get through the day to day tasks involved in parenting without losing your mind? Let’s look at some simple tips that can help.

A great tip for any parent is to demonstrate consistency and follow-through in all interactions with children. Parents who continually issue the same commands and potential consequences and fail to see them through will likely end up with children who are unwilling to listen or behave. Standing by your statements will teach kids to pay attention and regularly do what you ask of them.

Parenting is one of the hardest jobs there is. You will want to remain firm with your children, but it is just as important to be fair, honest and, most importantly, consistent. Once you have a good handle on these concepts, then you have a good foundation for effective parenting techniques.

Use clothes or items from the mother to wrap a bottle in if the baby is having trouble getting used to drinking from it. The smell of mom in the clothing will help calm the baby because he will associate it with his mother, thus making him more likely to give it a try.

Join a breastfeeding support and parenting group prior to giving birth to help you be comfortable in your breastfeeding. Women who join a group prior to giving birth are usually much more comfortable with breastfeeding than those who didn’t. The ability to learn and ask questions prior to having a crying baby in front of you is a lifesaver.

Take a break once in a while. Get a loved one to watch them, even if it’s only a few hours. When you don’t get a little time off from the kids, you can become stressed and, in turn, stress the entire family.

When your children quarrel, take the opportunity to teach them to respect the other child’s personal boundaries, to help resolve the problem. You can help them learn to respect personal boundaries by first giving them the words to express their own boundaries. Your child can then protect his or her boundaries by moving away from the problem.

Ask your child to do chores. Children need to learn how to do things like washing the dishes or making their bed; it is important to helping them learn independence, which ultimately leads to higher self-esteem. Chores also make children feel like they hold a valuable role in the family.

A great parenting tip is to take your child to work with you one day. By taking your child to work with you, they’ll get an appreciation of what you do everyday, and they’ll also get to know you a little better. This can be a great way to bond with your child.

Thunderstorms can be frightening to young children. Next time a storm rolls through, yell “BOOM” and laugh as the thunder claps, and encourage your little one to do the same. The next time a storm rolls through your child will think it’s a game because you showed her how not to be afraid.

Surround a child with good books. Reading is arguably among the most critical skills we can have. Your child should develop a desire to read well before they are cognitively ready to actually do so. Keeping a collection of colorful and interesting books within their reach is a critical part of developing that desire.

While every parent knows that they are setting examples for their children, some parents forget that this process goes on all the time. A parent should never make a promise without fulfilling it. Kids are extremely sensitive to what their parents say; they always pay attention. Good parents keep this in mind and never make promises without intending to keep them.

Establish a good homework routine for your children, such as one completed assignment before play time. Children need to know routines in order to do what they are supposed to do. They are still too young to be self-disciplined in getting homework done. So, it is up to you to set the routine and expectations.

Listen to your kids. Beyond just trying to make excuses and complain about stuff, they do try to tell you things. If you are listening to them you can correct a lot of issues before they get out of control. They need to feel like they can talk to you and that you will actually listen and not just hear what you want to hear.

Limit the amount of television that your children watch. The more time they spend in front of the television, the less time they are spending engaging in imaginative play, creative games and other activities that build their social and life skills. They are also more likely to be exposed to violent imagery through the television than when they are doing other activities.

A good way to teach children not to be wasteful is to explain to them the cost of everyday living. Spend some time showing your children not only that everything from electricity to food costs money, but also explain how hard and how much you must work to pay for these things.

Be consistent in your parenting. When you constantly repeat yourself and you are always making threats without following through, your children will begin to ignore you and lose respect for you. This is actually teaching them not to listen because they will learn that you do not mean what you say. Being consistent will lead to happy children who trust you and know what to expect from you.

Parenting is a rewarding and amazing experience, but not one without frustrations. As we have discussed in this article, exhaustion and stress are a regular part of parenting, but they do not have to be an all consuming part. With a little help from the tips provided you can be a better parent and a happier individual.

Effectively Generating And Managing Leads

Posted in Garlic Bread by Byron on July 26, 2014

Internet marketing has proven to be a very lucrative success. There is no other marketing medium like it. It has the power to bring your business to even the farthest places in the world almost instantly and with only a click of a mouse. This article can help you to find your place on the web and bring customers to you.

When attracting people to your network marketing website, ensure that you discuss ways that joining will help the people who sign up. Include TRUE testimonials of your colleagues and what benefit they have derived from joining the company you represent. Add graphs and statistics that factually show how their income has grown, and continues to grow.

Much like trading stocks, you must figure out what risk you are willing to take before joining any network marketing company. Can you afford to take it on full-time, or only part-time? At what profit point would you be able to quit your current job and take it over as a career? These are questions you must answer before signing up for anything.

No business is going to run like a well-oiled machine when you first start out, but you should take note of your network marketing tactics to ensure that you’re streamlining the process as you go along. The further you push ahead in your business, the easier things will be to keep organized and running efficiently.

Approach people with questions, not statements. If you give someone the opportunity to answer a question, you are starting a conversation. Approaching with a statement doesn’t give the prospect an opening to interact with you and can be a real turn off. When someone gets to answer a question they feel involved in the process and are more attuned to listening to you.

Put together a vision board that reminds you of your network marketing goals. What do you plan to achieve with your business? Would you like to purchase an expensive gift for yourself like a big house, a nice care or a boat?

A professional business card is key when presenting yourself as a network marketer. You can get handsome cards both designed and printed by online companies and shipped to your door for extremely low prices, so take advantage of these offers! Getting the word out locally is as important as having a great website, and your professional image must be maintained in both worlds.

Always ask for help If you need it. Your network marketing success should not be dependent upon yourself alone. If you know someone who is successful in network marketing, make it a point to talk to them and ask them how they are doing it, or what strategies they employ to prospect and enroll new people.

When attending a meeting, trade fair, or even going about town, you need to always look professional. Even when you dress casually you should be thinking about your appearance. Network marketing happens all the time, and you never know who you might meet at the grocery store who’ll be interested in what you have to say!

Take your network marketing online. Many people are not setting up an online marketing system, and this is hurting them badly. An easy way to set your business apart from others is to jump into the online world, where you can (with a little hard work) generate more leads than you know what to do with.

Take your network marketing efforts offline. If you can speak with your potential contacts over the phone or even face to face, they will see you as a real person, rather than a computer construct. Thinking of you as a person will help increase their loyalty to you and increase the likelihood that they will become part of your network.

A great tip that can help you become successful at network marketing is to try and get close to successful people in your company to see how they work. You can gain a lot of insight from successful people just through conversation and asking them questions. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.

The internet is a great marketing tool, but you should not neglect the value of meeting face to face with someone. Go through your list of your business contacts on your phone and mailbox, and count how many of these people you have actually met. If it is less than half, you have some efforts to make.

Network marketing is an opportunity to start a thriving business from your home, or a way to expand your already existing business. Your business will see increased success if you are able to successfully bring together a group of highly skilled marketers that network for you. Word of mouth can be a very strong marketing tool. This system also enables you to focus more of your efforts on other areas of your business.

When you take a vacation, consider checking out local associations to see if there are any you can drop into to discuss your network marketing opportunities with. Don’t over-pack your schedule with sales pitches, but spending an hour or two building your company while enjoying the sun isn’t a bad idea!

During slow periods, analyze your network marketing success. Look at your personal sales and look at your downline sales. Ask yourself how you can be doing better. Praise yourself for what you’ve done well and ask yourself how you can do more of it. Reflecting on your past work has a good way of preparing you to do better in the future.

Never stick to what you know in network marketing! The most important thing is to experiment with new strategies, so think outside the box. Consider the cost of the plan you’ve come up with versus the expected number of leads you will get, and then assess the amount of financial risk you’re willing to take.

It has been stated above that the internet is both lucrative and successful in a way that no other advertising medium has ever been. Its far reaching success can bring business to the homes of people a world away. This article can help you to understand how this success can be yours.

Tips And Tricks For All

Posted in Cheese by Byron on July 25, 2014

Did you know that you can use the same antifreeze that you use in your car to help prevent your home plumbing from freezing? To find out how and why, as well as other great tips for how to maintain your home plumbing, read the following article right away.

Avoid plumbing problems! Do not stop up the toilet! Some common items that will stop up a toilet include: toys, hair, paper towels, birth control items, and feminine personal products. Do not flush these items down your toilet – unless the instructions say otherwise! These can stop up your toilet – to the point that nothing else will work – except calling a plumber!

Before starting any plumbing project be sure to turn off the main water supply. Water damage can be one of the most expensive things to repair. To minimize damage turn the main water supply off as well as any shut off valves near where you are working. This will save a great deal of hardship later on.

If you have noisy pipes, you can cushion them with a rubber blanket or add additional anchor straps. Banging pipes are usually caused by loose pipes, water hammering to a stop as you turn it off, or hot water pipes shifting in their position. All of these problems can be solved by cushioning and anchoring the pipes.

Certain things shouldn’t go into your plumbing system. By knowing what you can and cannot flush or throw into the garbage disposal and sink, you can save yourself from a costly repair or disaster. A plumber can usually get your plumbing back into working condition, but can be avoided if you know how to dispose of items correctly.

Do not let your faucet leak. Did you know a leaky faucet can waste about 150 gallons of water every day? If you have a leak, never ignore it. It could be coming from the faucet or the pipes. Continually check pipes and faucets for extra moisture or small leaks.

Find a better way to discard of cooking oil instead of pouring it down the drain where it can easily clog your pipes. Keep a coffee can or other metal container handy to pour grease into after cooking. Place the can in the freezer to harden the grease and when it’s full, discard it with the trash.

If your sewer is backed up, there are things you can do to troubleshoot and clean, including renting equipment like a main line cable. However, often times this does not fully take care of the problem. A professional needs to assess the issue then, using a camera method, and thoroughly cleaning the main line.

Never hire a plumber that is not licensed, insured and bonded. If the plumbing company cannot provide you with reference numbers for their credentials, move on quickly. It is a common question and it should be a no-brainer for them to provide them to you. If they have issues with you asking, take that as a big red flag.

When plunging a drain to attempt to remove a blockage, first make sure that the drain is completely covered in water. This helps to form a seal. Then, plunge at least fifteen to twenty times before stopping. Repeat the process two to three times. If this doesn’t work, try a chemical drain cleaner.

During the winter months, your water heater works the hardest. To keep it in optimum condition, flush it out before winter arrives. Flushing the system helps remove the sediment buildup, which causes internal corrosion of your water heater, shortens its lifespan, and reduces heating efficiency. Connect a hose to the faucet near the bottom of the tank and drain several gallons by directing the water into a nearby drain.

Plumbing should only be done by professionals if there is a major problem or if you do not understand plumbing. Many of the big problems that plumbers deal with, actually have simple solutions. The average person, who does not understand the intricacies of plumbing, usually end up compounding the problem by causing other costly damage to the house during the failed repair. The plumber will need to be called in the end, anyway.

If you are looking into becoming a plumber, there are a few things that you should know first. The most important thing is that plumbers who work for companies do not make a high salary. You should try to find a way to work for yourself, in order to increase your earnings.

Beware of black water in your toilet tank. Chances are, the color is caused from too much magnesium or iron in your water. Although this is usually harmless, it can be annoying for some people. If it is iron or magnesium in your water, the only way to fix it is by filtering the water.

Watch out for decreased levels of intensity in the water flow in your bathroom. This can be a sign of calcium or mineral deposits disrupting water flow. If spotted early enough it may be possible to remedy this without having to replace the pipes.

Governmental regulations sometimes prevent plumbers from actively providing maintenance to copper piping. If you have a calcium buildup in your copper piping, you are going to need to take care of this yourself. You have to get rid of all the water and add vinegar which eats away the calcium buildup out of copper pipes.

Check your flooring for loose tiles or any water damage. Loose tiles are often the first indication that you have a leak. To find out, simply press gently on the tiles to feel if they move or feel out of place. If the tiles give you enough forewarning, you can repair the problem quickly, before it causes further damage.

In conclusion, you want to be sure that all of the advice you have heard about plumbing is correct. Take the time to go back over this article and decide what applies to you and what you need to learn even more about. The learning process never stops and it will benefit you greatly.

Want To Know About Asthma

Posted in Pasta by Byron on July 24, 2014

Dealing with asthma is difficult, but if you manage it properly you can lead a fulfilled life. There are a lot of ways you can prevent your asthma from having any interference in your life. Read the tips below to live a full life and do what you want, even with asthma.

If you want to use a humidifier or a vaporizer, clean it thoroughly. If it contains dust or anything else, your lungs will be bothered by the particles contained in the vapor. Let your humidifiers and vaporizers stand in water for a while and make sure they are dry before you use them.

A great tip that can help you get over an asthma attack is to try drinking a few cups of coffee. Coffee can help when you’re having an asthma attack because the caffeine opens up the airways. With your airways opened, you’ll be able to breathe much better.

If you suffer from asthma, it is crucial that you are using your inhaler properly. Make sure that you take a deep breath before taking your asthma pump. By not using your asthma inhaler properly, you may not be getting the proper treatment in order to control your asthma symptoms.

It may be wise to wear an ID bracelet if you have asthma. This way, if you were to have an asthma attack and you cannot speak for yourself, paramedics will know that you have this condition. If you do not feel comfortable wearing and ID bracelet, be sure to carry something on you that says you have asthma.

If you get a bad cough that isn’t clearing up, ask your doctor if it could be related to your asthma. Asthma can trigger both coughs and bronchitis. The treatment for asthma trigger bronchitis is different from the treatment for a normal cough, and finding out if asthma is part of the issue will help you get relief for your cough quickly.

It is important that you keep your home and work environment clean if you have asthma. Dust and germs can worsen your asthma symptoms and cut off oxygen to your lungs. Because dust accumulates rather quickly, it is recommended that you dust your furniture and appliances at least once a week.

If you are suffering from a mild or moderate asthma attack, expel all the air from your lungs. Exhale as quickly as possible, expelling air forcefully out of your lungs. Truly pump all air from your lungs! Follow this by breathing in three times quickly, and a fourth time deeply to ensure your lungs are filled to capacity, then exhale again as forcefully as possible. This gives your breathing a rhythm, which makes you aware of how many breaths you take. It also pushes the air out of your lungs, so that more air can come in. It may cause you to cough or even generate sputum, but that’s fine, you goal is for your breathing to get back to normal.

If you own any type of pet and have asthma you need to be extremely cautious. The pet dander can easily set off an asthma attack. You should try hard not to have close contact with the animal, and have someone else bathe the pet thoroughly on a weekly basis.

Have your home inspected at least once a year for mold and other spores. Many asthmatics, especially children, can have their asthma exacerbated by exposure to these allergens. Living in a home full of mold spores can even trigger repeated asthma attacks to the point of permanently damaging a child’s respiratory system.

Make sure that everyone in your family gets their flu shot. When you are afflicted with asthma, steer as clear as you can of all types of respiratory infections. Making sure to consistently wash your hands, and getting the proper vaccinations are two standard precautions.

Keep the humidity in your home at a controlled level with a dehumidifier. Environments that are dry and clean should stay at the top of your list of asthma treatments. Ensuring the humidity is low in your home means you live and breathe in more ideal conditions that help to avoid triggers to your attacks that are seasonal.

If you have asthma and your house is going to be painted, try to leave your house for a few days. Spend some time at a family or friend’s home. The fumes and smells of wet paint can cause asthma symptoms to increase and can even cause serious asthma attacks.

For asthma sufferers, the unscented option is always the best choice among different products. Scented products, like air fresheners, incense and perfume, raise indoor pollution levels and can trigger asthma attacks. In addition, paint that is fresh or carpet that is new release odors that can cause breathing irritations that lead to an asthma attack. Clean your indoor air and keep it as fresh as you can.

You may want to consider acupuncture if you have asthma. Acupuncture is used for a variety of different illness, and for asthma, it is used to help relax you so that you can have better lung function. Speak with your doctor about an acupuncturist in your area. Some even take medical insurance.

Make sure that you do not have any food allergies if you have asthma. Many people find out the hard way that they are allergic to certain foods. Having an allergic reaction can also effect your asthma because your breathing can be decreased. Be sure to go to the emergency room if you think you are having an allergic reaction to food.

If you run a fan inside your house, make sure that it is in an open area that has very little dust. A fan will stir up loose particles, and could stir up enough of it in an enclosed area to spark an asthma attack. Dusting your house often is also a great help.

As you see, you can use several methods in controlling or preventing asthma from overtaking your life. Asthma is not a death sentence; so create a plan to manage and live with asthma, and your life will be a fulfilling one.

Market Your Business With Social

Posted in Ravioli by Byron on July 24, 2014

In the world of trending topics and friend requests, social media has become king. Social media incorporates the aspects of creation and sharing, as people can easily make their own content and share it with friends and followers. If you would like to use social media as an avenue for marketing, then read the following article.

If you use Twitter as a promotion means for your business, make certain you respond regularly to your followers. Whenever questions get asked answer them, and express gratitude to anyone that mentions you. This will build a bond between your company and your customers. When you stay in touch with people, you come across as a genuine person, rather than some faceless business.

To get the best possible customers from your social media marketing, keep your content coming regularly and with consistency. When a customer sees you post on Facebook every other day, it is enough they remember you comfortably, but not so much that they get annoyed with you showing up too much. When it comes time for them to spend money on something you might offer, they will go with you because your brand feels like a trusted friend.

To help your customers help you spread your content, make sure blog posts have the right buttons to get easily shared. You can add Facebook Like and Share buttons, as well as Linked share ability and the Retweet button for Twitter users. When you have engaging content your regular followers like, they will spread it around the internet, hopefully drawing more followers to you.

When working with social media marketing, you should always remember that you are speaking to individual people, and not the masses. The tone of your postings should be directed towards personal level for maximum success. It takes some practice to develop the right voice, but over time and with practice you will be able to communicate effectively.

Try to map out your objectives and goals for participation when starting a social media marketing campaign. Make them available throughout the company so that everyone within the organization is on the same page. Results from social media marketing will be more productive and better focused when all activities are aligned and working towards the same goals.

Employing social media marketing strategies can be a great way to keep in contact with your customer base, and develop relationships. Customers that friend you on Facebook, or follow you on Twitter do so willingly. They want to hear from you. You can therefore notify them of new upcoming products, sales and discounts, or even just information concerning your business and industry without the fear of being too intrusive.

When using social media marketing know your audience. This is true for any marketing strategy, but especially important here to ensure your message is reaching the right people. Consider who could use your product or service and seek them out using the specifications available when placing your ad on a social media site.

Offer your customers the chance to respond to a survey about their social media usage. If you find out your customers are spending over an hour each day on a social media site, you really should create a brand page. If your audience isn’t really interested in social media sites, you may want to turn your attention to another form of marketing.

Have links on your main website to your main social media profiles. Your Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Google+ pages should all be linked from your main website. So, that customers know that they are the official websites for your company, and they can trust the content that is published on those social media sites.

To use social media marketing successfully you must be creative. The same material, sales, offers, and content will ultimately annoy your customer base to the point that they remove you from their page. Keeping things fresh and interesting makes sure they keep coming back for more, which means more sales.

Hosting contests with attractive rewards on social media websites, such as Facebook and Twitter, is an effective way to generate positive publicity for your business. Because social media is quick at spreading information, having a contest will generate a certain amount of buzz. Try to build your contests with creativity and fun, although they should always tie in closely with the products and services you’re promoting. One contest instance would be letting individuals create the logo or emblem that represents a soon-to-be-released product.

To make the most of social media marketing, respond to questions and comments in a very timely manner. You do not want to sit at your desk refreshing your inbox 24/7, but you do want to check in multiple times per day if possible. Anyone asking questions is either a loyal customer you want to retain and get more business from, or an interested prospect who might open their wallet if you give them some personal attention.

Researchers have found that people are most likely to be visiting social media sites during weekday business hours. There are available tools which will update your sites at the times where they can receive more views and you will be able to write them at any time.

To get a leg up on the social media marketing of competitors, embrace all forms of social media. Many companies assume that social media has matured and think they only need presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to cover their bases. Savvy social media marketers remember that MySpace is still out there. Use it plus rising newcomers like LinkedIn, SlideShare and Google+ to expose yourself where other players are not.

Respond with care to tweets that contain rude or hateful messages. Everything you tweet is a reflection of your business. It may be tempting to shoot back a sarcastic tweet but, that will harm you in the long run. Remain professional and calm when you respond. Remember, the whole world has access to what you tweet.

As stated before in the introduction for this article, social media has become dominant in today’s society. The ability for users to create and share content has allowed social media to take precedence over other forms of media. By using the information in this article, you can use social media as a marketing platform.
